ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 3, 1985 -1:00 P,M.
CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM
Mayor Zeuschner called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and
noted that the meeting had been called for the purpose of
interviewing applicants for the Refuse Franchise Board, Water
Advisory Board, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation
Commission and Harbor Commission.

Council interviewed the following applicants:
Refuse Franchise Board -Clifford Wiseman, Mary Phillips,
Richardson, Sandra Santini, Barbara Isbell, Robert Ward,
Kramer, Ben Sanders and Peggy Lipe.

Water Advisory Board -Mary Phillips, Hal Hannula, Richard
Kitzman, Richard Moberg, Charles Palmer, Gilbert Schmidt, Sam
Kimball, Philip Persons, Barbara Sanders, and Walter Korbin.
Planning Commission -John Baty, Stephanie Evans ( unable to
appear), Walter Korbin, Joseph Kramer, Dale Lichty, Ernest
Maltby, Kathryn Oliver, Charles Reasor, Ben Sanders, Orlando
Santini, Pauline Stansbury, and John Harper.
Parks and Recreation Commission -Sam Kimball, Paula Daillak,
Bert Griffin, Cheryl Halterman and Lila Keiser.
Harbor Commission -Jeffrey Odell, Nelson Sullivan and Jack
Hanson.
Council discussed the applicants and made the following
appointments:
Refuse Franchise Board
MOTION: Councilmember Risley moved that Sandra Santini, Joseph
Kramer and Vernon Richardson be appointed to the vacan-
cies on the Refuse Franchise Board. The motion was
seconded by Councilmember Sheetz and carried with Coun-
cilmember Miller voting no. (4-1)

Water Advisory Board
MOTION: Councilmember Risley moved that Hal Hannula, Arby
Kitzman and Philip Persons be appointed to the full
terms on the Water Advisory Board and that Charles
Palmer be appointed to the unexpired term. The motion
was seconded by Councilmember Sheetz and carried with
Councilmember Miller voting no. (4-1)
Planning Commission
MOTION: Councilmember Sheetz moved that Charles Reasor be
appointed to the full term on the Planning Commission
and Ernest Maltby be appointed to the unexpired term.
The motion was seconded by Councilmember Kaltenbach and
carried with Councilmember Miller voting no . (4-1)
Parks and Recreation Commission
MOTION: Councilmember Sheetz moved that Paula Daillak and
Cheryl Halterman be appointed to the Parks and Recrea-
tion Commission. The motion was seconded by Council-
member Risley and carried with Councilmember Miller
voting no. (4-1)
Mayor Zeuschner appointed Lila Keiser to a two-year term as ex-
officio member serving youth and Bert Griffen as the community
service ex-officio appointment to the Parks and Recreation Com-
mission.
Harbor Commission -unexpired term altern ate vacancies
MOTION:
MOTION:
Councilmember Risley moved that Nelson Sullivan be
appointed to the Harbor Commission as an alternate
serving the Commercial Fishing category. The motion
was seconded by Councilmember Kaltenbach and carried
with Councilmember Miller voting no. (4-1)
Councilmember Risley moved that Jeffrey Odel be
appointed to the Harbor Commission as an alternate
serving the Member-at-Large category. The motion was
seconded by Councilmember Kaltenbach and carried with
Councilmember Miller and Mayor Zeuschner voting no.
(3-2)
Mr. Napper stated that the Council has been requested by the Red
Cross to consider authorizing the Mayor to sign a proclamation
declaring the week of January 6-12, 1985 as African Famine Relief
Week.
