ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING - DECEMBER 29, 1986
CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM - 3:30 P.M.
Mayor Reddell called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.

City Administrator
Mr. Napper explained the interview process which must be con-
ducted in open session. Council indicated they would like to ap-
point applicants applying for one board to another board if the
applicant was willing.
Council interviewed Planning Commission applicants Nellie Cecil,
Donald Doubledee, John Harper, Ernest Maltby, Howard Smith, Tom
Wuriu, and Robert Neal.
There was a break from 5:10 p.m. to 6:20 p.m.
Council then interviewed the remaining Planning Commission appli-
cants; Bernie Melvin, Tom Dougherty, David Moore, Ben Sanders,
Timothy Sadlier, William Starke, and Paul Donelly.
Mr. Napper collected and tallied Council ballots.
MOTION: Councilmember Sheetz moved Council appoint John Harper
and Bernie Melvin to the positions on the Planning Com-
mission by acclamation. The motion was seconded by
Councilmember Odell and unanimously carried. (5-0)
Council discussed the interviews to be conducted the following
day and decided to begin interviewing at 3:00 p.m. and continue
straight through the evening until the interviews are complete.
MOTION: Councilmember Sheetz moved the meeting adjourn to 3:00
p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 1986, in the City Hall Con-
ference Room to continue interviews for Council commis-
sions and boards. The motion was seconded by Coun-
cilmember Lemons and unanimously carried. (5-0)
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
